Description
UMT-1500AL.01 – Automated packaging complex of a linear type for packaging bottles (cans, etc.) on a cardboard substrate in heat-shrinkable polyethylene. It can work with or without a cardboard backing.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION
The main units (assembly units) of the UMT-AL machine are:
- Package forming device (former);
- Packaging device (packer).
The principle of operation of the UMT-AL machine is based on the property of shrink film to decrease in size under the influence of temperature.
All mechanisms of the device for forming the package and the packaging device of the UMT-AL machine are controlled by the controller in accordance with the program installed in it.
The packed production moves the conveyor giving. Here, the product flow is divided into rows, and at the same time, the filling of the subsequent machine mechanisms with products is monitored (using sensors).
Then, on the transfer conveyor, a package of the required size is separated from the product flow using the stopper and cutter mechanisms. At the same time, the conveyor-feeder feeds the vertically arranged substrate to the substrate transfer mechanism. The transfer mechanism picks up the substrate with vacuum grippers and transfers it to the substrate conveyor. On the drive chains of the substrate supply conveyor there are special stops to ensure the movement of the substrate upwards. Inside the main substrate feed conveyor there is a lifting conveyor that feeds the substrate in a horizontal plane. The formed block of products is fed to the extended edge of the substrate by the pusher mechanism. Thus, the block of products “runs” on the substrate supplied by the lifting conveyor.
After the pusher puts the finished block of products on the substrate, the block of products goes to the electric knife. At the same time, the product block is wrapped with a film along the perimeter.
Then the film is welded and cut with an electric knife. The electric knife is set in motion automatically. The outfeed conveyor delivers the block of products to the thermal tunnel. At the same time, a new portion of the film is unwinded.
On the thermal tunnel conveyor, the wrapped block of products passes through the entire thermal chamber. Here, under the influence of temperature, the film shrinks.
At the exit from the thermal chamber, the finished package with products is blown by fans to speed up cooling and stabilize the package. The finished package goes to the roller table.
