The “Kokon” packaging device is designed for wrapping individual loads and forming group packages on pallets into a single unit (palletizing).
Advantages of Stretch Film Packaging:
- Secure fixation of goods on the pallet;
- Protection of products from mechanical damage, environmental influences, and losses during transportation;
- No need for heat sealing, reducing energy consumption;
- Lower film consumption compared to shrink wrapping;
- High performance.
At the customer’s request, if the packaged product allows, the pallet may not be used during packaging. For packaging lightweight loads (if requested by the customer), the “Cocoon” device can be equipped with a press.
DEVICE MODIFICATIONS
The “Kokon” device is available in three types:
- KOKON-P – Semi-automatic: Consists of a platform, stand, carriage, film threading and tension adjustment unit, and a control panel. The load is wrapped with film automatically. The operator places the load on the platform, sets the number of film layers, adjusts the film tension, cuts it at the end of the cycle, and secures the film on the next load.
- KOKON-P-VP – Semi-automatic with upper press: Consists of a platform, stand, carriage, press, film threading and tension adjustment unit, and a control panel. Designed for packaging lightweight loads. The load is wrapped with film automatically. During packaging, the load is held on the platform with the help of the press. The operator places the load on the platform, sets the number of film layers, adjusts the film tension, cuts it at the end of the cycle, and secures the film on the next load.
- KOKON-A – Automatic: Manufactured according to the customer’s technical specifications. The load is wrapped with film automatically, and the film is also automatically cut at the end of the packaging cycle and secured to the next load. The operator places the load on the platform, sets the number of film layers, and adjusts the film tension.
